We were appointed by David Chipperfield Architects and RDAI to design the wayfinding and signage scheme for the hotel and equestrian training track.
The successful integration of the signage with its surroundings is achieved through a sympathetic choice of materials, and with the character and organisation of the building articulated in the signage construction. Signage conveyed the impression of a private residential space.
The surface material of the signs are chosen to accept the local environment allowing natural weathering and fine sandblasting from the desert winds. Letterforms are defined by light and shadow rather than secondary colour or material.
