As part of the design for the Sligo town centre wayfinding scheme, our desire to use local materials has led us to incorporating Irish Blue Limestone as a core material within the signage system.
Limestone is the chief visible connector of Sligo’s past; linking the regions natural history and neolithic landscapes to the rich architectural heritage of the town.
Complementing the Limestone we are using Verdigris Copper and Bronze; familiar materials that are intrinsic to the vernacular of Sligo’s streetscapes.
