We are on site this month immersing ourselves in a new town centre wayfinding project.
As part of our research we have been cycling, walking, talking, listening and observing to find out how easy it is to understand the spatial layout of the town, its pathway and street network; its urban fabric, scale and architecture.
Our research will also feature what other factors impact on pedestrian movement and navigation such as people’s perception of distance and walkability; their behaviour and activities; and the overall quality of the public realm.
We are looking forward to seeing what will be uncovered and developing a framework for improvement.
