10th April 2025

In Dublin’s fair city…

Dublin was looking radiant in the sun on 3rd April 2025 as we all stood in front of the fabulous Oscar Wilde Memorial Sculpture in Merrion Square… an eclectic mix of creative thinkers (and as it turned out a great group of people) assembled for the start of the SEGD London Chapter Spring Symposium 2025.

The first day featured a fascinating tour of Georgian Dublin led by the effusive(!) guide Arran Henderson, followed by a fish and chip supper from the famous Leo Burdock (the choice of Bruce Springsteen and Bono when in Dublin) which led on to an enjoyable networking and bonding evening at the wonderfully classic Irish pub, The Lord Edward.

The following day started at the stately Irish Georgian Society building where we were treated to a thought provoking lecture by Charles Duggan (Heritage Officer for Dublin City Council) on the architectural and social development of Georgian Dublin, followed by an insight into the future… a presentation by Jessie Bailey and Michelle Mateus from the cutting edge agency Electrosonic, which offered a glimpse into the future of the immersive design experience.

Cybelle Jones SEGD CEO, who had flown in from the States, closed the symposium with a inspirational and thoughtful talk on how SEGD members can together change and shape our future world before the group enjoyed a wonderful lunch.

A fabulous time was had by all, appreciating each other’s company, absorbing the learnings and enjoying the ‘craic’!
