Ruthlessly inclusive

Earlier this year we were thrilled to be appointed with Pentagram to develop wayfinding design and branding respectively for Hammersmith & Fulham Council’s Civic Campus in King Street, Hammersmith. The development, designed by Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners, will transform the existing Grade II listed Hammersmith Town Hall, provide a new public square, along with a new cinema and affordable homes. A new public restaurant and bar located on top of the refurbished Town Hall will afford visitors panoramic views across the Great West Road and Furnival Gardens to the River Thames.

The reconditioned Town Hall will be state-of-the-art, boasting the latest technology and will be ‘ruthlessly inclusive’ – a key component of the client brief – creating a fully accessible building which can be used by everyone, regardless of age, ability and circumstance.

The Civic Campus will rejuvenate the area, breathing new life in to the west end of King Street and create a new Hammersmith neighbourhood; it is due to be completed in 2023.
