One of the joys of working in Ghana is the opportunity to immerse ourselves in the learning and understanding of the traditional arts and culture of the region.
Integrating and contributing to the sense of place, we are currently designing a pictogram suite that emphasises bold and simple forms that respond to Ghana’s symbol-rich visual culture.
Kente cloth is characterised by sharply defined shapes created by the technique of loom weaving, Bambolse is a long-standing tradition of elaborate geometric and representational wall decoration, and Adinkra are symbols that represent concepts or aphorisms.
